Welcome to the Members Site.
Greetings! Spring is here and that means the beautiful hanging baskets and plants will be arriving in a few weeks for North Oaks Garden Club's annual Plant Sale.
Over 200 Plant Sale orders are anticipated that will need to be filled for pickup on Monday, May 4 (hanging baskets) and Thursday, May 7 (all other plants). All activities will be at the Hill Farm – 35 Hill Farm Circle. Volunteers are especially needed on Thursday, May 7. Your help is greatly needed; no prior experience is necessary, and there are tasks that can accommodate lifting and physical restrictions. We ask that every member sign up to volunteer for at least one shift.
Volunteers will work in pairs filling the orders until all orders have been filled and proofed. This is a great way to meet other Garden Club members, learn about identifying plants and share gardening information over lunch. Please use the SignUp link below.
In addition to volunteering your time, we also need wagons and berry flats dropped off at the Blacksmith Shop at 35 Hill Farm Circle.
Wagons - Filling orders is easier when using wagons. Please drop off any wagons labeled with your name on Monday, anytime after 10 am and pick up any time after 3 pm on Thursday.
Flats - Please collect shallow cardboard flats (like berries) from Costco or your favorite grocery store. We will need hundreds, so collect as many as possible. Please drop off either Monday, May 4 or before 10:00 am on Thursday, May 7.
Lunch and beverage will be provided for volunteers on both days. If you’d like, a donation of sweets or dessert would be appreciated!
If you have any questions, please call Nancy Hans – 651-353-8415 or nancygardenhans@yahoo.com.
Thank you so much for volunteering. Your help contributes to making the North Oaks Plant Sale a success year after year.
A great opportunity to see the Como Park Conservatory's Spring Flower Show with your garden club friends. All members are welcome. It is a great way to meet other club members if you recently joined. More information to follow.
